Halloween Family Activities in the Treasure Valley

There’s always so much fun to be had in Boise every month, and the month of October is no exception. We’ve hunted down some of the most exciting upcoming family friendly Halloween themed activities for you to enjoy this year. So, get ready to have fun and read on only if you are ready for some spooky adventures!

JUMP or Treat

Jump on over to JUMP this Saturday for their annual JUMP or Treat celebration! Come on by for a free Halloween experience for all ages on Saturday, October 22nd from 5:30–8:30 pm. The JUMP Park will be transformed into a Wacky World of Wonder with larger-than-life inflatables, creative backdrops, and awe-inspiring decorations.

Ghosts and goblins of all ages are encouraged to dress up in costumes to “JUMP-or-Treat” while exploring the JUMP Park and receiving treats and treasures along the way. YMCA Halloween Run

Lace up your running shoes for this fun and family friendly running event put on by the local YMCA. Bring your costumes and have a blast on this chilly 5k. More information found here:

Halloween Board Game Party

Board games really are an exercise in extremes, aren't they? They can bring out the very best or the very worst in us, depending on whether we’re losing or not, but either way, it is always extremely fun for the whole family. The Chow Public Market and Eatery is putting on a fun Halloween themed board game party for the whole family. They will be doing seasonal themed board games and costumes are encouraged but not required. More information here:

A Wilderness Themed Halloween Party!

The EverWild Forest School of Boise is putting on a wild family friendly fest this year. Join them on Saturday, October 29th at Veteran’s Memorial Park from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. Put on your costumes, grab a picnic blanket, and your creativity and get ready for a unique Halloween experience. Families will gather and form a large circle, laying down our picnic blankets. Decorate and light up your blankets any way you like! As the Sun starts to set, all the kids, in their costumes, will begin to travel the circle, stopping at each family’s blanket to get a treat.

Here’s the fun part - treats will be all natural objects! Think rocks, acorns, feathers, seashells, seaglass… Or if you have the need to create - homemade magic wands, bookmarks, jingle bell bracelets! Get creative and have fun! Full info here:
