The 10th Annual Great Idaho Potato Drop
This is the premier event of the Treasure Valley New Year’s Eve celebrations. Where: The State Capitol building, downtown Boise. When: Starting at 8pm. What attractions are there?: Free concerts featuring acts from around the Pacific Northwest. Snowboarding exhibitions. Food and drinks from local vendors. Giant dropping potatoes, of course! Fondue Bar At Home
Believe it or not, Fondue is making a HUGE comeback lately. Set up a Fondue station at home and invite your friends and family over for a decadent, delicious, and different style of feast. Along with your cheese sauces you can serve tasty dipping items like broccoli florets, toasted bread cubes, apple slices (those can go in the cheese and chocolate fondue sauces!) banana chunks, and even grapes. The sky’s the limit, really.
Make It A Board Game Night
Head on down to your local game supply store and ask about their favorite party games for casual players. They will be happy to help! Pick up a few board games that you and your friends have never heard of before and start playing. Of course, you will need to serve some adult beverages in order to help lubricate the learning curve. Heck, by the end if you are making up your own rules on the fly, no one can fault you because after all, that’s Dallas!
Indulge… In Yourself!
Who needs a big party when you can just stay home and practice some self care? Take a relaxing bath while reading your favorite book and enjoying your favorite new wine. Tune into the countdown on TV and leave it running in the background, of course while you treat yourself to your favorite meal and dance to your favorite music. After all, you’re in charge here so whatever you want to indulge in is up to you! Make this New Year’s Eve a truly “treat yo self” night.
