Thanksgiving Recipes That Will Wow

Thanksgiving and the holiday season in general is a great time to really test your cooking skill set in order to impress your friends and family. After all, isn’t being a great host giving your guests the best possible experience as they dine? Well, if you’re really looking to knock the socks off of your holiday guests this year, then we have put together a pretty dynamite menu that will have your guests thinking that they accidentally wandered into a new Michelin star restaurant instead of your living room.

Don’t just serve the same old deviled eggs this year. Go 100% fancy and serve caviar-topped deviled eggs. The extra umami and saltiness from the caviar will really give your appetizer that extra pop. With this dish, you can let your guests know right off the bat that they are in for a 5 star experience.

These aren’t your momma’s sweet potatoes. These really play on the sweetness of the potatoes by adding to it the delicate sweet and slightly tangy backbone that goat cheese provides. This dish is cheesy, comforting, and salty, with a little crunch of roasted pistachios served on top. Regular mashed potatoes just won’t do!

Corn is an excellent summer/fall vegetable that can be a blank canvas to be painted with just about any flavor you’d like. For this dish, we are combining roasted corn with herbs and cheese to form a gooey, cheesy, savory side dish that will have people questioning why any other dishes need to be served alongside this at all.

If you’re going to do fancy and elegant, there is no better place to turn than to the queen of good things herself, Martha Stewart. Martha knows how to impress guests and while we can’t have her pop on over and prepare this herself, we can do the next best thing and follow her detailed recipe. This turkey is a project in and of itself that will have you working for several days before Thanksgiving day itself, but believe us when we tell you it is worth it!

If you’re familiar with the food competition world, then you’re familiar with Bobby Flay’s prowess as a competitor. He knows what he’s doing. The story behind this recipe is pretty simple yet epic. He was challenged to a competition against a well known local baker who had an incredibly popular pumpkin pie at their shop. Without any prior knowledge of what he was being challenged to, the baker challenged Mr. Flay to a pumpkin pie baking contest. He created this recipe on the spot and in a blind taste test, he won. Now, your guests can win as well when you serve them this contest winning pie brought to you by the world’s greatest Iron Chef.

In Conclusion

We hope that today’s recipe guide will help you be better prepared to plan out all of your holiday cooking this year. Remember, no matter the time of year, there is always something fun to do around Boise and Meridian. I am happy to help with any questions about home and garden, buying, selling, real estate, and beyond! Give me a call today, I’d love to hear from you.
